Modern paper piecing meets quilt as you go
“Jungle Vines” is a fun, modern quilt that has a variety of layout combinations and is easy to modify. It is a straight-forward foundation paper pieced pattern and can be used with various fabric cuts including yardage, fat quarters and precut 10″ squares.
Play around with different pattern and color combinations with the geometric diamond outline design. The finished size is easy to modify by adding or subtracting columns and rows.
Pattern includes basic FPP instructions, as well as a Quilt As You Go FPP method. The QAYG FPP method combines the accuracy of paper piecing with the efficiency of quilt as you go. NOTE: If you purchase the digital pattern and want to use the QAYG FPP method, you must also purchase the coordinating batting kit (a physical product that will be shipped to you).

Center strip – At least 2 different fabrics totaling: 8 x Fat Quarters; or 40 x 10″ squares; or 2 yards
Corner triangles – At least 1 fabric totaling: 4 x Fat Quarters; or 40 x 10″ squares; or 2 yards
Background – 3 1/4 yards
Backing – 3 1/2 yards
Binding – 1/2 yard
QAYG FPP METHOD
Use this pattern with a QAYG FPP method that allows you to accurately piece your blocks and quickly finish most of the quilting, all in a single step without the need of a printer or special paper.

• No tearing away paper so worry less about stretching fabric out of shape.

Purchase the QAYG batting kit to get started today. Kit includes paper instructions and light loft cotton batting squares to make a twin sized quilt about 60″ x 75″. The block templates are printed directly on the back of the batting squares, so a darker color and/or busy print fabric is recommended for the backing.
