GREAT PATTERN FOR BUILDING SKILLS
“Nesting Baskets” is a traditionally pieced quilt pattern that uses some creative cutting and HSTs. It is a great pattern for people who already have a solid foundation of quilting basics and want to build their skills.
The name comes from the process to piece the “baskets,” or the inner parts of each block. It is somewhat similar to a log cabin where you start with a small square at the center and gradually add around it.
These instructions include two different sizes and two different layouts for a variety of options. The center squares are also a great option for some fussy cutting to highlight the cutest parts of your fabrics!
